Review - Biotherm Biosource Cleansing Series

Besides the Biotherm Aquasource Creme Riche I tested 2 products from the Biosource Cleansing Series - the Hydra Mineral Cleanser Softening Mousse and the Hydra Mineral Lotion Softening Water.

About my skin:
The skin is my face is dry and quite sensitive. It shows irritations by redness and tension on the cheeks.

How I used the products:
In the morning I started with the Biosource Hydra Mineral Cleanser Softening Mousse (under the shower), then I toned with a splash of the Lotion. After the cleansing I used the Crème Riche (around the eyese I used my favorite eye cream). In the evenings I usually only used the Softening Lotion and Crème Riche afterwards, as I do not use a lot of foundation or stuff in summer, so I did not have the need for another deep cleanse.

About the Hydra Mineral Cleanser Softening Mousse:
The mousse is sold in a pink plastic tube. It has a nice medium strong smell of roses that goes away while rinsing off (much better than the funny Aquasource smell!!!). It has a rich creamy consitence that can easily be applied to the wet face, then rinsed off with warm water. It cleansed my skin perfectly - I had a very clean feeling afterwards but no tension etc. Great!

About the Hydra-Mineral Lotion Softening Water:
Attention: I'm not sure if they changed the name and/or the ingredients of this product in the meantime! Mine contained alcohol (alcohol denat.) - the (very similar) one shown on the Biotherm site is stated to be alcohol-free! Plus it looks slightely different.
It is a toner that should be used after the mousse to clear all residues and such.  The lotion is sold in a pink plastic container with a white lid. It has the same nice smell of roses like the mousse. And it did not irritate my skin (no matter if it contained any alcohol). Nice, but nothing I had not experienced with a cheaper produt as well.

Overall rating:
The mousse is my new favorite - I've been looking for a good cleansing product for a long time and here it is. I definitely buy it again! The lotion is okay, but as I'm not sure if it is the newest version plus it was nothing special to me I don't recommend it.
